Clinical DirectorPosition Summary:
Oversee clinical services to all clients and coordinate with
program and various department staff as well as program
contracted/affiliated agencies. Essential Duties
- Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of
evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care. Maintains a
professional environment that is consistent with contractual
agreement and established agency policies.
- Work in partnership with program staff to ensure the integrity,
consistency and quality of the program.
- Review, monitor and approve clinical program spending
consistent with established budgets and business policies and
procedures.
- Participate in clinical planning and implementation with other
departmental staff and the Program Vice President.
- Implement and monitor clinical policies and procedures, which
have been established by the Board of Directors and Chief Executive
Officer
- Manage clinical services including coordinating and
facilitating coverage when necessary.
- Study interrelationships between personnel assignments and
clinical needs, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Contribute to the clients' treatment planning and case
management services.
- Responsible for internal Mental Health chart audits and chart
preparation for external audits.
- Participate in weekly meetings with other directors to
coordinate and address program and clinical issues.
- Be available for administrative 24-hour on-call consultation
and direction; in addition may have to respond to the residential
site to provide crisis intervention.
- Coordinate review of client placement meetings with the Program
Director.
- Liaison to the Program Vice President for policy and procedure
changes.
- Participate in interviewing, orientation, training supervision
and performance reviews of Therapist and Practicum Students as
assigned.
- Assist in presenting and promoting program goals to community
support groups and others.
- Maintain a professional environment that is consistent with
existing contracts, licensing regulations and established
policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: Ph.D., MSW, MA or MS in related field of human
services. Two years post license clinical experience working with
adolescents, children and their families. Proven experience in
organizational tasks and supervision, planning and implementing
staff training.
Licensure: Ph.D., LCSW or MFT license Additional Requirements:
- Individual must have proven ability to assess and plan for the
clinical needs of the clientele.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted California driver's license
and current vehicle insurance.
- Completion of BBS approved clinical supervision course in order
to supervise trainees/associates.
- Must maintain ability to provide clinical supervision including
maintaining clinical practice (i.e. practiced psychotherapy or
provided direct supervision of trainees, associate clinical social
workers, marriage and family therapists or professional clinical
counselor who perform psychotherapy for at least two (2) years
within the five (5) year period immediately preceding
supervision).
- Bi-lingual Spanish proven proficiency will result in additional
stipend to base pay.
Salary Range : $93,600 - $102,960 (Exempt)
The posted pay scale for this position serves as a general
disclosure. Actual pay offered within the range will be dependent
on individual factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant
experience.
